Podcasts

I (Wes Fryer) currently maintain multiple active podcast channels, as well as some discontinued (but still available) podcasts and audio feeds. Many of my active podcasts have a unique hashtag which we use across different social media platforms. (last updated 14 Jul 2024)

My active podcasts include:

The EdTech Situation Room with Jason Neiffer and Wes Fryer #edtechSR

  • An almost-weekly podcast discussion of recent technology news through an educational lens: www.edtechSR.com
  • Weekly show notes are available on www.edtechSR.com/links and all weekly links (both those we have time to discuss and those we don’t) are shared on our weekly Substack newsletter: edtechSR.substack.com
  • We stream live (usually) on Wednesday nights at 9pm ET / 8pm CT / 7pm MT / 6pm PT on YouTube.

Available as both a subscribable audio-only podcast and video podcast.

Wisdom With Wes #WisdomWithWes

This series of (usually) 5 to 10 minute videos addresses a variety of topics relating to life, culture, and healthy living. This started as a YouTube series, but thanks to YouTube’s “playlist to podcast” feature, it will SOON be available as a video-only podcast!

Wes and Shelly Share: Our Adventures from the “Empty Nest” in North Carolina #wsshare

Our “Wes and Shelly Fryer Share” podcast features periodic (usually monthly) reflections about continued adjustment to “the empty nest” with three children now living out of the house and in different states. Our mantra is “Go outside. Stay Curious. Keep exploring!” Available as an audio-only podcast. Created and shared with Spotify for Podcasters.

Moving at the Speed of Creativity Podcasts

Wesley Fryer started this podcast channel (Feedburner RSS) in 2005 still maintains it! “Moving at the Speed of creativity Podcasts features over 480 archived episodes. This podcast channel is still active, with new episodes posted intermittently. “Moving at the Speed of Creativity podcasts focus on digital creativity, media literacy, digital literacy, digital citizenship, instructional technology integration and engaged learning both inside and outside the classroom.”

  • “Where media literacy and digital storytelling intersect and change the world”
  • Archived episodes

Class with Dr. Fryer

This was my (Wes Fryer’s) first experimental podcast using Anchor (now Spotify for Podcasters) and includes a mix of full-length lecture casts (recorded classes I teach) as well as periodic reflections on-the-go.
